ASSOLO #7

LAURA OMACINI

OPENING THURSDAY 26 MARCH 2026
UNTIL 7 MAY 2026

Francesca Antonini Arte Contemporanea is pleased to present Assolo #7, featuring Laura Omacini (Venice, 1991), in collaboration with Barbati Gallery, Venice.

The research of Laura Omacini develops through an ongoing exploration on marginality, understood as a reflection on liminal spaces that partly prevent unrestricted movement within the landscape. Construction sites, scaffolding, and work areas become the main subjects of her paintings: temporary and changing structures that mark the land and reveal its fragility. The artist is especially interested in all the boundaries that can still be crossed, but only with difficulty and in an unstable way.

In Assolo #7, a large-scale work and a series of smaller pieces - created especially for the project - are shown together and interact within the gallery space.

With Assolo, the gallery regularly presents a project dedicated to a guest artist, who is invited to intervene in the space with a carefully selected group of works. In the first six editions, the gallery had presented works by Alessandro Roma (Milan, 1977) with CAR Gallery, Bologna; Shafei Xia (Shaoxing, 1989) with P420, Bologna; Andrea Barzaghi (Monza, 1988) with Lunetta 11, Mombarcaro (CN); Cristiano Tassinari (Forlì, 1980) with Ncontemporary, Milan–Venice; Andrea Fontanari (Trento, 1996) with Boccanera Gallery, Trento–Milan; and Marco Eusepi (Anzio, 1991) with Secci Gallery, Milan–Pietrasanta.
