GUENDALINA SALINI E ANTONELLO VIOLA

Francesca Antonini Arte Contemporanea, in collaboration with the gallery Ex Elettrofonica, presents the exhibition In versi by Guendalina Salini and Antonello Viola. In versi, is a play on words, that describes the correspondences between the work of Antonello Viola and Guendalina Salini; a relationship between two languages, clearly different but somehow complementary, the first one pictorial, rigorous, hieratic, and the other one sculptural, fragmented, delicate, which meet around similar core themes and create together poetical phrases, harmonies, suspensions, understandings.

The fragility of the visible and the secret affinities are the main themes, the works always hint at an invisible, delicate as an appearance, but that could escape at any moment, and yet they remain suspended in ecstasy, in hesitation.

The exhibition puts on a series of notes; open works able to establish a dialogue between surfaces with different degrees of transparency, glass, tulle, paper, organza, materials held dear by the artists, which weave a thin wire in the name of circularity and counterpoint, through the use of a palette of tones ranging from the precious gold and ultramarine blue to oxide green and copper, from opalescent pale green to moss green of the most deep and dark nature.
